All jersey mesh slings feature nylon rings--these rings are very durable and are not seamed together.I have found that the rings I use do not let the jersey or solarveil "slip" (you may specify aluminum rings, please add $3.00 more

The style of shoulder that I have designed is unique and the rings are placed so that your child’s head should not easily bump into the rings. The shoulder area is what I call tailored elegance.

Revolutionary made from a patented fabric that is open-knit, lightweight, Breathable, cool and comfortable, and protects you from the harmful UVA and UVB rays of the sun.

• SOLARVEIL™ is manufactured using complex yarn structures and a complex knitting procedure.
• This construction causes the UVA and UVB rays to be reflected (bounced off) and refracted (bent) so that only a small percentage can pass through.
• Additionally, SOLARVEIL™ is treated with proprietary UV inhibitors that absorb UV rays, further preventing the rays from penetrating the fabric.
• Typically, SOLARVEIL™ is worn loosely draped as a cover up. This effectively blocks almost all UVA and UVB rays.
• The random movement of UV rays causes them to hit the apparel at acute angles, not 90-degrees, which is another reason why SOLARVEIL™ is so effective.
• Another component of sunlight is infrared radiation, which is the component that creates heat transfer.
• SOLARVEIL™ blocks a significant percentage of infrared radiation, which is another feature that will help with coolness.
• The infrared radiation not blocked can easily dissipate through the open-knit construction rather than accumulate between the skin and fabric.

Mesh Sling Tips

If your sling 'slips', try re-threading it, or you can tie a knot just below the rings or you lightly sand your rings to give them a rougher surface.The solarveil gets "grippyier" when damp, so if you have a little slip,(and you are in water) then sprinkle water on the rings After using your sling in the water, wring it out and hang it to dry. Most slings dry in an hour. To speed up drying time, they can be machine dried on "no heat" for 10-15 minutes. If you are using your sling at the pool or beach, remember to bring an extra, dry sling to wear home! Always wash your slings out after swimming in chlorinated water-this will insure a long life of your sling. Please e–mail me if you have any questions.
