Babywearing Courses and Workshops

Are you looking for a baby carrier or do you already own a sling and just can't get it to work for you?

Do you have a baby that has colic, or is very fussy?

Do you just love holding and loving your baby?

If you would like to come and try out different baby carriers, or learn to use the one you have then contact Diane at: diane at mothers-helper.ca.

I offer One-on-one training to help you learn to use your baby carrier with your baby to make all of your lives easier.

I will go through and demonstrate the various types of slings, including traditional cloth carriers.(ring sling, pouch, wrap, etc.) as well as having samples for you to try with your baby.

Carrying your baby is absolutely essential for dads to do. If mom is nursing, Dad may feel left out. A carrier will show dad that his baby really needs him too.

Whether you are the biological mommy or daddy or adoptive, carrying your baby encourages parent/child bonding, and a greater sense security in your child.

The purpose of carrying your baby is to give you back some of your freedom of movement, and to encourage your child to be intelligent, secure and independent. Wearing your baby encourages calm environment and a more relaxed parent and child. Carrying your baby in a sling type carrier is fabulous for the mental development of your child.

There are a ton of stylish baby carriers out there. Most of them are wonderfully made, and are great for your bonding experience.

I have been babywearing since 1996. I have been getting together with families, Semi regularly, in an organized group since 2003. I have supported them in their style of parenting and establishing a community of parents that carry their children and respond to their cues.

Since 2004 a small group of families have been getting together every week at various locations played with carriers, and enjoyed each others company- building new bonds. Creating life long friendships.
